The gold feature at the front will totally make a pair of jeans less boring. This season has some bright colours waist lined jackets or even a plain top (or bodysuit) that will make your look on trend and effortless.
I wore mine yesterday with a white denim shacket and a pair of black jeans (ripped at the knees).

Look no further. I will fill you in!
As the pandemic is still lurking around and fashion shows have been cancelled or modified etc it has been really hard to grasp a clear picture of what to expect in the land of fashion and style. However according to reliable sources like, stylecaster, pantone, fashion trend setter and many many more. We are able to get an idea of what colours we will be seeing in 2022.
There are many but here are a few to start with:
Tangy Lime
HHOT ORANGE
RRADIANT YELLOW
KELLY GREEN
Im summary, while Kelly Green is not for everyone it was splashed all over London Fashion week making Black look out of date. Sad for me as this is my favourite colour, I don't suit the Kelly Green. If you are wanting to wear more colours and not sure where to start. Email me at admin@olivewinter.com and I can help you figure out what colours suit you and which colours wont. Its a great investment and this knowledge will last forever.

]]>For the Month of May, I am going to focus on this topic to create more awarness and give me the chance to really dive into this topic.
Lets start with this.....Ethylene Vinyl Acetate. WHAT THE!!! Just like ingrediants in a cake, there are ingredients when making shoes that has some words that are so difficult to pronounce.. well just focus on one Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate... wtf?? I call it EVA.. thats the little Nik name... Oh Hey Eva..... or maybe not..no one likes EVA, and let me tell you why.....EVA is an elastomeric polymer that produces materials which are "rubber-like" in softness and flexibility. You will have seen this or worn this plenty of time in your life.... It is a plastic made by combining ethylene and vinyl acetate to create rubber like properties which ar commonly found in shoe soles which usually makes up the midsole of most running shoes. Yes they look good on a shoe and they create comfort and retraction when running however sadly and what no one tells us is this can last for as long as 1000 years in landfill :(
Luckily I dont use this material and I dont create alot of sneakers. But I want to focus on Adidias for a minute. They have come up with a brilliant campaign called, The recycled Waste Ocean shoe..
Constructed from re-purposed abandoned or illegal drift nets (also known as gill nets) pulled from the ocean, the nets are woven into the shoes upper. With no shortage of available material (there are gill nets like this clogging oceans and seas all around the world),well they saw this and thought ‘wow, this could be developed into an actual scalable product’. Removing these nets that kill thousands of ocean animals, including turtles, dolphins, sharks, rays and even whales. Go adidas!
Love this idea! And if you find some, support them and purchase them.. I hav'nt come up with anything yet that could even come close this type of expertise but if you have an idea how we can support this topic, please get in touch. Email: Admin@olivewinter.com

Two-tone denim! Trend Alert!!!!
Do you think you will wear them?
What if they gave the illusion of making you look thinner?
Seen on the S/S 20 runways and on celebrities like Kendall Jenner they have come back from the 80's and are making a statement in 2020. These are my favourite from what i have checked out on Pinterest.
After doing a bit on research....Kendall Jenner wears them ALOT!
I would love to hear what you think about this new trend. Drop a comment below or write to me personally (link on the front page of website)
]]>1- Wear a gold belt with your dress. Similar to how you would dress your neck and wrists think about your waist look slimmer and people focusing on the belt that could make your dress look a step up.
2- embellished shoes. I designed some flat womens shoes with the most gorgeous beads. They were and still are my best seller. Its the simple things that can raise your confidence and make you feel super stylish.
3- a Chunky Chain. “the bigger, the better”
4 - a vest. I know this seems so 90’s but adding it over a maxi dress or under a suit or even by itself undoubtedly will sharpen your look.
5 - A super sized bag. It hides your belly if that is a spot that you are not fond of right now. Another bonus...not only can hold everything but it can really give you confidence on those days where you are having a little social anxiety and you need to clutch onto a bag. Just had another thought! This is also great for mummas that are sick of the ugly nappy bags. Hide it all in an oversized bag!
]]>
1. Mango Faux-Shearling Coat - Finally a peice of clothing that can make you feel hugged all day!
2. Staud Moon Bag - Seen regulary on Kendell Jenner this eye spotting bag looks amazing in the oversized or teeny tiny size.
3. Elleme Baozi Shearling Bucket Bag - To match your Mango Faux-Shearling Coat maybe? Super cute and looks super comfy up against any coat really.
4. Khaite Zebra-Print Boots - When I saw this on Aimee Song on Instragram I had to think twice about how i felt about them. At first they came across loud but after walking away and returning to the image I could really see them with diffreent outfits.. Picturing them peeking out beneath the hem of a midi skirt! HAWT!
5. Sleeper Feather-Trim Pajamas - These are cute and so stylish. I think these would be something i packed if I were to wear my pajamas infront of other people.

I love strappy heels, but I only get to wear them under a long dress and they still dont even get a peep out to the world. I look down at them and think.....‘these deserve to be seen’. So you can imagine how happy I was when i first spotted this look at Copenhagen Fashion Weeks’ spring/summer 2020. Then I spotted this look on a few fashionistas on Instagram. eek a full belly full of joy! It won me over, I am going to wear this look and post a few snaps on insta later today...
My absolute fav is .....Hayley Biebers’ latest look...

]]>Squared heeled shoes are hard to find and usually are classified as a small to medium size heel. People opt to wearing this style to appear taller. They also help petite ladies reach high places and help your feet touch the ground when you are sitting down.

Anotherquestion we often get asked.. What to wear this style of shoe with?
*jeans
*skirts
*dresses
*suits
*tights
*pants
This pair has a heel 7.5 cm high.
How to wear square heeled shoes mostly relies on the occasion on where you’re going to wear them. If you’re looking for court shoes to wear to the office, stick to simple colours like black, white, navy blue and grey.
For a casual look, go bold with yellow, pink, red or floral pair oes. Bold colours are easy to pair with most outfits. If you have a very high heel, pair this with a dress so the shoes can be seen. They’ll also help your legs look longer and the focus wont be on the dress but more on the shoes. If your shoes are Nude the eye will notice the shoes but will go back up to your dress.
Did you know that there are studies out there that claim this style helps with toning your muscles! The beautiful thing about the square heeled shoes is that you can wear them to any occasion. Whether that be work, going out for a drink at night or a function. Very hard to find, when you do find the perfect pair snatch a pair up before they sell out.
If you want to pick up a pair here, we stock a pair in tan and also in white and black.

Today’s tip from our qualified stylist...stay minimal when it comes to your closet.
We are not saying having a closet like this wear you have 7 shirts for 7 days. But only keeping seasonal clothes in there. This means, if it is summer keep your summer clothes in there but pack away your winter clothes. By doing this you are going to find your clothes much easier and will have less distractions. I always alter my closet every 4 months (every season) It’s amazing how many clothes you find that you know you wont wear anymore or find a piece you get excited about again.
Thats it for Tuesday Tips. See you again next Tuesday 👋

Quick Note: Society is often led to believe that one colour suits all. This is definitely not the case. Based on your skin, hair and eye colour you have certain colours that will enchance your features and colours that will give the opposite effect (I have been there and done that -got comments asking why I was so pale or I looked older than what I was but really it was because I had on a colour that clashed with me). Do you want to know which colours suit you and only you? Email us at admin@olivewinter.com or chat to us here instantly. We would love to help you!!!!

So you wake up in the morning and fix your mind on some positive thoughts -prepare mentally for the day only to spend the next half an hour worrying about what to wear? Your energy deflates you enter into panic mode as you are now running late and you still haven’t found what to wear!!! Arrrr! Why is it so hard!!!!
Did you know this is a common thing and its called decision fatigue. We are wasting brain power on what can be simplified by having a style consultant on hand or even better on messenger!!!! Imagine that! You can quickly message your stylist and ask if its a good idea to wear......? (Write to admin@olivewinter.com if that is something you want to connect with).
To start you off, look through your closet and get rid of things you can’t or don’t wear regularly and simplify your wardrobe to pieces you like or a Maria Kondo on Netflix says ‘sparks joy’ if it does’nt spark joy for you....well ditch it.... This will eliminate your choices and also help you see the beaming pieces that could be chosen to be worn that day.
We can also offer you a customised style report that will use your clothing in your closet and put pieces together for you so that you don’t have to decide each day. This report will help you know what colours and styles suit you and only YOU. It will consider what’s trending but we understand that does not always fit everyone. So we use information from your questionnaire based on lifestyle, employment and the impression you are after and we calculate your style and give you a wide range of options to start you with. We then stay in touch with you and see how you are going with it!!! All our clients enjoy getting ready each morning and have a massive lift in their attitudes because of the new found compliments from people on the street and workplace! Doesn’t matter where you live, we offer an online service as well as, stylists in each city of Australia that we can pair you up with or if you are a little shy and embarrassed we can totally do this online for you.
You will have our details forever so you will never have a stress day getting dressed again.
]]>
2- When being inspired by other stylish women ensure that they are similar to you. What does this mean? Like hair colour, skin colour etc all this counts especially when famous people have had a stylist look over their appearance and set up a colour chart to match their complexion and features etc. (if you would like something similar - check out our stylist section)
3- Plan your outfits before the day. Not only does this reduce the stress of getting dressed you will have more time for your hair and make up and your room wont have a million outfits on the floor that you will have to clean up when you get back home.
4- ALWAYS Over Dress for any Occasion - It’s better to be over dressed than under
5- Be confident in what you wear.
6- One extra. I always say that to clients when they are accessorizing. So they might say, Kristie, I am going to wear a ring. Then I say and one more? Or how about earrings too? Etc.
7- Invest in Basics That Fit. This means timeless pieces that you will keep forever. Black stilettos, black dress, denim jacket etc. If you are still unsure, you can purchase a style report from the styling section of this website.
8-Wear Colorful Shoes if you are wearing a black dress. This style will always get you a compliment.
9- Brands don’t mean fashion. It’s how you wear it. I have seen some people wear a $200 shirt and make it look like $20 or the other way around a $20 shirt and make it look like a million bucks. It’s how you put your outfit together.
10- Never look at the mannequins in the store. They are usually pale and thin and what suits that body shape may not flatter you. You have a colour and style that will bring out your features. Get a customised style report from our styling section to know what suits you!
]]>But which shoes??
Stilettos! Doesn’t matter the colour, legs look instantly thinner as the point and thin heel (At least 2 inch) gives the illusion of more sculpted legs. This is also a great way to slender those calves however stay away from squared styles with a block (Thick heel) as they will give the opposite effect making your legs look bulkier and shorter than what they are.
Check out our ranges of stilettos we have in stock. Sizes range from 6-10 and we also carry half sizes.

I often hear women say 'what suits this or what suits that' I am about to help you for free!
Ballerina Flats go well with skinny jeans or tights. Avoid long skirts this can give you a heavier appearance.
The shoes with an opening - This can give off a stylish look for your feet especially if you dont want the focus to be on your outfit. So say you are wearing a LBD (Little black dress) wearing stylish shoes that have great details can be the icing on the cake for your outfit.
Shoes with Ankle straps - These will make your legs look shorter so great for the tall women!
Shoes or Sandals that have a lot of straps - This can make your legs look slender especially for the babes with larger calves
Low heels - These are great if you want to give off the illusion that your feet are smaller than what they are :)
High heels - These will make your legs look finer as in thiner and also boost your confidence. Its amazing how shoes can do that to a girl ;)
The pointed shoes lengthen the leg and thin the ankle.
Ankle boots - wear these with tights or skinny jeans even a mid length skirt. I would avoid the ankle boots if I had muscle legs as they give off a more muscly appearance.
The high boots - These are great if you want to shave 2- 3 cm from the circumference of your leg. Some are hard to get into or hard to get out off - stay clear if you have stomach problems or pregnant as you often need another person to help put these on or take them off for you. Also keep in mind that this style goes in and out of fashion. If you are a trend follower keep an eye out on our social media posts/blogs about whats trending. We have one coming up letting you know what to expect for next year.
Platforms are unquestionable the favourites for adding height and believe it or not are much more comfortable for walking than the high heels. But on the other hand, you should be careful with their form as they could make the hips look wider. Also i would wear these of a night time as they would be too overdressed for the day time.
If you need more advice please get in touch with our team on

1. Shoes are stylish - they will always make you feel special.
You don’t have to be a master DIY’er for this project all you need is scissors some good music and the courage the cut. Here is a photo of me and my maternity jeans. I bought them from Jeanswest and I did not want to go out and pay another $100 for a new pair as these ones fit nicely and were super comfy. But lets keep it real the folded look is not in and it made me feel shorter than what i actually was. These needs a cut!!!
Ok so there are only a few steps
1) Put your jeans on and fold them to wear you think is a good length. You can leave these folded overnight or iron them or even get some chalk or a pencil and mark exactly where you would like them cut. I just folded them and cut them vertically, so I know where to start cutting horizontally when I take them off (FREE TIP)
2) Ok this is the bit where you need courage…
3) Take them off and cut them
4) Fold the whole pair together to see if you have cut them the same length
5) WALA! You have a new pair of jeans. You can wear them as is or start pulling the little strings out that are around the hem of the jeans. If you want more of a frayed look you can cut a vertical slit around 2mm in length using the tips of the scissors. Rub both legs together to give them a roughen look. You do this like you would rub two stones together. This friction will cause the hem to fray.
There are a few ways that you can cut them and this is only one way. but check out this hem line.
If you can't be bothered doing this there are some great jeans that I found at Revovle Clothing
More over I have added this pic to show you other ways you can modify them if the hem look does not fulfil your look and you need a little bit more of an edge.
All you need is a grater and sewing pick!
If you would like more style advice contact admin@olivewinter.com or head to our style section and order a customised style report to help you pair this look with some flattering tops and shoes.

Every woman has those days when everything else seems to be in a mess. The laundry basket is still full of your favorite outfits, and you cannot get away with your unclean hair. Worse yet, you need to be in a meeting that morning, and no amount of coffee can give you the peace of mind that you are looking for. Don't worry, though – the one thing that you can depend upon to give you the will to face your dark days is a nice pair of shoes.
Here is a roundup of the top shoes that will help you reflect confidence and remain in style when you need the most:
There is something about the stiletto heel that makes you feel your best self. They go with everything and they give you a little boost. Black heels that come with a glossy finish or a subtle pattern is one of the ideal choices on your down days. The first thing is that it will more likely go perfectly well with anything you have in your wardrobe eliminating the risk of getting it wrong.
Nude pumps are one of the types of shoes that should always be in your shoe rack, and if you have been wondering about when to put them on then this is your answer. Whether you have a party or wedding to go too or whatever coloured dress, the nude pump will always match. There has been a few times where I have had an event and I have been a little too ambitious and bought my outfit early then when the occasion came, I put on my dress and freaked out because the dress did not fit! Yikes!!!! I always have spare outfits in my closet anyway but the biggest problem is matching your dress with shoes. With nude pumps anything goes with them!!!! No stress.
The extra stylish shoe
The other shoe that you can put on to reflect not only style but confidence as well is the out there stylist shoe. You know, the one that know one else has. The one that you wear taking a risk. It is a little hard matching it with an outfit but if you can marry that up perfectly then you have a BAYM! Outfit!! Like holly molly you have everything on point.. You look good, you feel good, people are asking where you got your shoes from?? If you have never taken this sort of risk hire a stylist from Olive Winter (Look up style services, or contact admin to help you get in touch with one) if you don't have any shoes like this perhaps it is time you bought some.
If there is another simple yet practical pair of shoes to bring out the best in you, it is the kitty heels. For that energy to make it through the day, consider metallic kitchen heels, and pair them with a cigarette pant, slim-fitting Capri, jeans or dress. The good thing about these low heels is that you get comfort in addition to confidence boost and style.
One of the best times to leverage the power of red is when your confidence needs a boost. It may seem off to attract attention with this color, but you are banking on the fact that it makes you look sassy and uplifts you on those low days. Put on a pair that goes best with your outfit whether it is a flat or Sydney street heels.
Conclusion
The pair of shoes on your feet can go a long way when seeking to nurture your confidence and radiate power as a woman. That calls for precise shopping, and one of the best places to do that is the Olive Winter ladies’ shoe collection. We stock a variety of shoes that reflect style and confidence for women to feel and look their best at all times.

What to wear then?
]]>
Here are a few ways you can wear ankle boots
1) Tuck them in. You can either wear skinny jeans or tights and tuck them in! This will give the illusion of long legs. Winnings!
2) Pair them with a pencil skirt. With or without tights, ankle boots look super cute when paired with a pencil skirt. If you want the skirt to be the focus pair your skirt with a pair of natural colours boots. If you wear coloured boots the eye will naturally be drawn to that. It will also create a 'bottom heavy' look which we all want to avoid..
3) If you are not into pencil skirts but more dresses. You can match some ankle boots with a cute dress that sits just on or above the knee. A cute jacket will even out and balance out your look
4) Socks or stockings. YES YES YES! Perfect match!!!! Also trending this year
5) wear coloured tights that are opposite to your boot colour
6) Monochromatic..! So wearing the same coloured tights that are the same as your boot. This will allow you to wear higher boots without this being noticeable. So if you are like me, a shortie and want to wear higher shoes but don't want to look like I am wearing higher shoes this way is a good way to do that. You will often see me wearing black tights or Jeans and my black booties.
7) Socks, tights and boots! I know sounds weird but try this and look in the mirror. It is on trend and looks amazing when put together. Just don't do this with Jeans.
8) Create a gap between your ankle boots and jeans. This will give the illusion of skinny ankles and also give the attention to the boots
If you need some ankle boots we have a few styles in store under 'boots' my favourite are the Vulture street booties. Check them out!

]]>
1) They go with everything!!!!!! You can't go wrong! If you buy a pair I guarantee you will get your moneys worth from them. They are not the type of shoe that just sits in the cupboard because it has nothing to be paired with?
2) It is trans-seasonal. What the hell is Trans-seasonal? Like most of the shoes in our store they are shoes that you can wear in ANY season.
3) They can be made from synthetic fibres (Vegan) faux suede and leather or the latest material composition of pleather (Half leather half Man made leather) doesn't matter they add the right amount of cool you need for your look
4) If you are a jeans girl this combo can be a match made in heaven.
5) Are you a shorty like I am and worried they will make you look shorter? No problems, Boots can make your legs look super long and lean when you choose a matching colour with your jeans. So black boots = Black Jeans
6) Our poor little feet do so much walking and talking, Boots are the perfect shoe to give your feet a little cuddle. Often open and exposed shoes can make us feel self conscious especially when we forgot to get a pedi
